Virtual tour

This is where the virtual tour of Chiselworks' building is intended to be placed.  In lieu of it just follow the illustrations and text to get an impression of the interior of this beautiful building.

A spiral staircase photographed from the top down

Through the entrance we climb up the original staircase.  Don't worry - there is also a motorised hoist serving all floor levels, for convenient delivery and dispatch of goods.

View inside a vacant workshop showing bare brick wall, arched window, and cast iron pillars supporting ceiling timbers

Next enter one of our workshops to form an impression of a typical interior.

Section of whitewashed brick wall featuring a dark painted circular disk containing the number 74

The building benefits from many original features such as this bay number, dating back to its use as shared grain storage.

Section of pitched roof of timber construction, resting on cast iron pillars and joists

If you persist to the top floor, you will find that the workshops here have high ceilings, a great feature for those making larger pieces. Can be cold in winter though!

Thank you for following our virtual tour.  A visit to the real building can be arranged if you phone or email us - check our contact page for details.  Or attend our Open Day on 21 September.
